Antonyms and Synonyms
Antonyms: Words that are opposite or nearly opposite in meaning to a specified word are
called Antonyms.
Synonyms: Words which are same or nearly same in meaning or to a
specified word are called Synonyms.
To be proficient in Antonyms and Synonyms
you should be equipped with good vocabulary. Good knowledge of antonyms and
synonyms helps you communicate in a variety of words choosing the right words
for the right occasion.
You may know only one alternate similar word or opposite word or you may not
know the alternate word at all. This leaves you with limited vocabulary and
scope to communicate effectively.
Words related in some way or other, whether it is opposite or direct in meaning
